Well, It was a great turn out in Richmond despite the breezy and rainy day. I was very glad to see kids out there and made a point to talk to them, thank them for coming and encourage them to learn the history. I spread the SAM flyers - gave it to old retired marines, to VaTech students. I let everyone who wanted to take a picture of my shirt -- here is what it said "Born in USSR. Socialism? Been there, done that. It SUCKS! Don't bring it to America! (picture of hammer and sickle crossed out)" and on the back "2nd Amendment Rocks! (Ask me what it was like in the Soviet Union WITHOUT it)". If anyone sends you this picture of my shirt, that's me! People were pretty surprised and asked "really?" if I was born in USSR. I think my next quest is to figure out why there seems to be no former USSR people out there protesting and sharing their life story, except for this Moldovian lady (

Interesting thing -- I was monitoring Russian news all day yesterday and today, and saw NO (zero) mention of the tea parties yesterday and only one article today - basically 5 paragraphs that were a translation of AP report. Mind you, they are not being late with coverage of other news. All other issues and rumors are covered at the speed of light, eg, the pirates issue, markets and banks information, suggesting that Russian people sell their savings in cash dollars and switch to Euro because US economy is continuing to fall, that US is going to change the direction of its missiles to target major Russian manufacturing sites, even all the holywood celebrety nonsense, etc. Wow, I am thinking, what the heck? They are scaring their people and portraing the situation in the US as most dire. But not much said about tea parties and people showing how pissed they are and how resolute they are ... Are they (Russian media, which is still controlled by government no matter what they tell you about freedom of press) that much afraid to show the resolve of the American people that they would not put true information out about the tea parties? I get that the liberal media here doesn't have anything positive to say about the tea parties, but for Russian media not to mention anything?! One answer is "they are still afraid of the idea that there are freedom loving human beings still alive out there, kicking and boiling and brewing revolution and they don't want the Russian people to know that".
God bless you all!
