I will start, I live and breath hunting. I hunt everything I can that is edible. Mostly whitetail and hogs though. We don't buy any meat, and only eat what we kill.

I love to hunt Elk in CO and I will continue to do so, until I am physically unable.  Started hunting with my father at age 5 or 6 and my kids now hunt with me.  Keep the tradition alive.

While most of my hunting these days consist of whitetail I fondly remember those quail and dove hunts in the late 50's and early mid 60's with my grandad. He had an old model 12 Winchester with a full choke, it was an old one from the teens or early 20's. Had the nickel steel barrel and a taper choke, the choke started at the chamber and went to the muzzel. I swear he took 60 yd shots with it and connected every time. At the time I was a kid using a single shot Baretta 12 ga. It kicked the hell outta me, but was light to carry and easy to point and follow through with. I still have it, cost my old man a weeks wages back in the day. He got my sister a 410 that matched it. It was probably 69 bucks or so. God I miss those days, I wish there was some way we could share the flavor of those times with todays generation.

We hunt just about everything there is in Texas that you can eat. My biggest passion is duck hunting but still love to deer hunt. When im working in a state that has pheasants and the season is open i hunt till i cant walk any more. My best times in the woods or on the water is when i have my kids with me. Me and there momma carried them on our back for the first couple of squirrel seasons cause thay were to young to walk and watch for snakes and i hope that when i have grand kids i can do the same thing with them.

Hunting has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember.  I can no longer get to the wild lands where most others do not go and I can no longer stalk as I have done in the past.  My hunting now is pretty much limited to stand hunting for whitetail and other game.  I am very fussy in the preparation of my game and I still try to do as much of the processing as I can.  I have a lifetime of memories with hunting partners, of hunts, and being in the wild that will always be a part of me.  I have mentored young folks in hunting and in woodsmanship.  Sharing times around a campfire that many can no longer experience is now a favorite way of spending my time.  The whisper of the wind and the crackle of the fire bring peace to this body that has the desire of youth but the limitations of age and disability. :hai:

What are good things to do while spirit hunting? What are some good household tools you could use to help with spirit hunting? I don't want to here nothing because they aren't real, I won't even read it so don't bother putting it down. To those who do know for real and aren't joking please put down your advice. Thanks!
